The Web on the Move
One of my college professors reminded his I.T. students that the Internet is a new thing. He showed us a timeline and we were surprised to realize that not long ago many people did not commonly own computers. They were for governments and the military, mostly because of cost. Today everyone in my class has a smart phone, laptop, and perhaps a desktop. Most of us use mobile internet and cannot imagine a world in which people are not able to connect anywhere, any time. As we talked we realized that, not only has the Internet matured, it has become portable, making our lives a lot easier in the process.
