Still Using Dial-Up After All These Years
I am stuck in the Dark Ages. High-speed Internet access is not available here where I live in the Middle of Nowhere, USA. I am still using a dial-up connection, believe it or not. Sometimes I could just scream when I hear that busy signal over and over again. It is also very inconvenient to have our phone line tied up and miss incoming calls while we use the Internet. I saw an advertisement on TV for high-speed Internet access that is provided by an internet satellite. That would be perfect for us, especially since we live in a rural area where only dial-up is available. I am going to call the 800 number today and set up an appointment for installation.
