What Would we Do Without our Nurses?
I never really met any nurses until my parents got sick and always assumed that doctors were in charge of my parents’ health. In fact I realized that the people who made my parents’ lives better were mostly nurses. In the hospital it was RN’s who made sure Mom and Dad had the best medical care. Eventually they had a health care worker, who had an LPN Degree. She cared for my parents when they got home and bent over backwards to make sure they were comfortable, cheerful, and felt cared for. Although I am grateful for everything doctors do, I know from experience that we would be lost without nurses.
