An Unlikable Tattoo Process

Nowadays, there is a licensed process of getting a tattoo which includes using a piece of equipment that utilizes a fine group of needles to deposit small amounts of ink into one’s skin. Did you know, however, that in the earlier days, urine was actually used in mixing the coloring matter for tattoos? Back in the day, the ink used for tattoos included soot or brick dust, which needed to be bound together to work. The mixing agent that was used to work best was urine. This was done in some cultures until 1891 when Tom Riley patented the first electric tattoo machine, and since then, all colors were applied by hand using the tattooing equipment.
