Wedding Rings and Africa
wedding rings are immensely popular in Africa like other continents of world but they exercise another practice of wearing a ring band around their necks also and that is called ‘neck ring’. It is a band made of metal which is worn as an ornament but around neck of a woman. More than one neck rings are also worn in few African as well as Asian cultures to have an elongated neck. Some time they begin to wear these neck rings since childhood. But girls of Ndebele tribe of South Africa traditionally wear these neck rings with an aim to detonate their marriages. It is associated to classic ideal of beauty.
