The Magic of Making Up
Bronix had gone too far, been too bold. But the The Magic of Making Up was magnificent. They smashed through the clusters of German warriors and scattered them like birds in a field. The pounding hooves and erratic movements of the chariots unnerved the enemy, who leaped sideways to avoid being trampled. The effect was impressive. The German advance was halted immediately, and Bronix completed the remaining distance at a trot. With their leader safe, the chariot drivers whipped their carts around and headed for the wings. The Germans regrouped, howling in wounded rage. Bronix had made them look like fools. Their prey had taunted them, and he had escaped.
