The law on age discrimination

The law is very clear on discrimination, harassment and unfair treatment in the work environment (causing a hostile work environment). The age discrimination in the workplace is becoming a problem, although it always has, now the law on age discrimination states that this is a form of discrimination and cannot be tolerated. Under the age discrimination in employment act of 1967 you cannot be retired or let go based solely on your age. It is unlawful to discriminate in any way based on your age, sex or race either. Tougher laws are being created as more and more people are standing up for their rights, and the rights of older workers.
