Consistency and Positive reinforcements are a Must
Dog training can be time consuming; however the relationship you have with your pet will be greatly rewarded! We recently adopted a Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and you need to remember when training your pet that the most important thing is to always be consistent, this is the only way your dog will learn the difference between right and wrong. A positive reinforcement to help you consistently train your pet is to use treats to reward them or even a good pat on the head and tell them they are a good dog. If you are potty training your pet it is a good idea to make a schedule for that you can stick to. You want to find an area that will be out of the way that you take your pet to each time. Once they are familiar with the schedule, and the potty area they will potty train easily. You will be able to show off your pet with pride after going through the process of dog training.
