Colorful traffic control

There are times and places where a regular window box or planter will just not fill the space you want to fill. Depending on the mood you want to set you can go with commercial planters or even a horse trough in the right place. I have seen beautiful decorated concrete planters used effectively as traffic barriers in streets. In many cities they are learning that traffic control does not have to be stark and ugly. When cities invest in commercial and partner with the neighborhoods a win-win situation is created. The neighborhoods get their traffic control and at the same time a community garden. The cities get someone to maintain the gardens.
