All about the wassily chair

The Wassily Chair, also known as the Model B3 chair, was designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925-26 while he was the head of the cabinet-making workshop at the Bauhaus, in Dessau, Germany. In spirit and stature, Marcel Breuer’s Wassily Chair from Knoll has few equals. Distinctly contemporary and yet airy and light, these chairs open any room to freedom, letting you create the comfortable space that fits right for your personal sense of style. In the spirit of abstraction, the Wassily Chair reduced the forms of a traditional club chair to its simplest contours, represented by a seamless steel tubing (inspired by the handlebars of a bicycle).
