The Eerie Facts About Alcohol Poisoning

Vern has been a heavy drinker for approximately twenty years.  One Sunday evening while surfing through the channels with his TV remote, he noticed that there was a special program about the symptoms of alcohol poisoning.  For whatever reason, Vern was immediately interested in watching the rest of this program.  At one point, Vern was surprised to learn that alcohol poisoning can result in a fatality even if the drinker didn’t drink all that much that particular day.  In other words, over time abusive drinking can weaken a person’s organs and overall system and result in an alcohol overdose.  Here’s another fact that didn’t make much sense to Vern.  Take a person who only drinks on New Year’s Eve.  But when this person drinks, he gets trashed.  This person, even though he only drinks one time per year, by definition, has engaged in alcohol abuse.  Not only this, but if this person gets extremely drunk on that one day and that one day only, the result can be a fatal alcohol overdose.
