Is it even possible to get health insurance for self-employed individuals? I am about to leave the company that I’ve worked for for the past seven years because the company was bought out and my job is being merged with somebody else’s. So I think I’m going to start my own web design business. I hear the field is pretty competitive, but I have some really good experience and some good marketing ideas, so I think I can make a go of it. But my wife is expecting our first child, so I certainly don’t want to be without health insurance, even for a short period of time. Where would be the best place to look into health insurance for somebody in my situation?
