Video Becoming More Common for Plastics Training
Unless an employee has prior experience in the plastics industry they are going to be in need of some basic plastics training. More and more companies are finding that using the video format is the most efficient method for delivering this training. This is because by using a video training program, the company can sit the employee down in front of a TV or computer monitor and have them go through interactive lessons one-on-one without having to use any other resources to administer the training. They don’t need an instructor to follow along, they don’t need an experienced employee to show them the ropes, and the employee is self-paced through the program. The company is assured of consistent training because the video is the same for every employee.
The video format used for plastics training is becoming more and more digital based rather than analog videotape. The digital format allows for greater flexibility for when and how the training is presented and also how the training can be customized to specific a plant’s needs. Employees like this kind of training because it takes away the intimidation factor of a classroom type environment where many employees will refrain from raising their hand because of the age old fear of asking "the stupid question". So this is a win-win situation for everyone.
