I work for a trucking company. Our company uses vehicle management. We do this to monitor our drivers and ensure that they are not using the trucks for personal use. However, we also use it for driver safety. In case of an emergency, we know where the driver is. If a driver was involved in an accident, he may be unconscious, or God forbid, dead. He may be unable to contact us or his family to let us know his location or his condition. In a case like this, we would be able to track down the truck and contact hospitals in that area.
