Preparing your van for winter.
With winter fast approaching it’s time to start preparing your van, the first thing to check is your antifreeze because if your coolant were to freeze overnight the repairs won’t be expensive! You can buy a simple device to check how effective your antifreeze is, or alternatively just place a small amount in your freezer overnight (assuming it’s not below -15 centigrade) and check that it doesn’t freeze. In addition it might be worth considering investing in snow chains or some grit so your van doesn’t get stuck on the road if the conditions take a turn for the worse. Of course if the worst comes to the worst and you end up without a working van, you can always consider van hire to ensure you stay on the road.
